3 Ingredient Guacamole

Guacamole doesn’t have to be complicated, or really spicy to be good. This 3 Ingredient Guacamole recipe allows the flavor of the avocado to be the star, without causing heartburn.

I had to learn to eat differently after a severe acid reflux flare-up 14 years ago. Garlic, peppers, and things with heavy tomato sauce are definitely off my list. Some people like to add their own ingredients to standard recipes. I tend to take ingredients away, especially expensive, exotic, or reflux-inducing items. I’ve come to enjoy the natural flavors of my food, without all the extra spices.

This 3 Ingredient Guacamole is fresh, and full of flavor.
Ingredients:

- 4 avocados
- 1/4 cup of sour cream
- 3 or 4 big squirts of lime juice
Instructions:
Your avocados should be ripe. Ripe avocados will be soft when squeezed or pressed. Score each avocado around the middle with a knife, then twist it open by turning each end the opposite way.
Use a spoon to scoop out the contents of the avocado. Leave one seed in the bowl. It makes the guacamole less likely to turn brown (so they say).
Mash the avocados with a fork. I like my guacamole to be slightly chunky, the same as my mashed potatoes.

Add 1/4 cup of sour cream and 3 or 4 squirts of lime.

Mix well.
You’re done! Serve with tortilla chips and enjoy!
