Coming up with new products to sell in my Etsy store is a year-round job. Last year my shop did well during the Black Friday Sale Week, so I am hoping for a repeat performance. This year, I thought it would be a good idea to add a few items in a lower price range than my paintings and watering cans. The Hand Painted Poinsettia Flower Pot is thoughtful, something everyone can use, and also easy to mail. Did I mention that it is fun to paint?
Materials Needed for the Hand Painted Poinsettia Flower Pot
- 6″ terra cotta flower pot and tray/saucer
- paints- Brown, White, Red, Burgundy, Gold, Yellow, Green, Black, White
- brushes- 1″ sponge, small angle brush, small liner brush
- poinsettia pattern (search printable poinsettia template and find one you like)
Painting Instructions
First, I painted the pot and tray with 2 coats of Brown plus White with the 1″ sponge brush. This technique creates a rustic finish.

Merry Christmas,
Kristie
