If you’re like me, you begin to gather and prepare for a season long before it arrives. As a wife and mother, I take my job seriously. I want the best life for myself and my family. Clothing, decorations, cooking items, and things for the yard can be easliy found for low prices if you shop in advance. I’ve been picking up things for my Hello Winter Snowy Mantle all year long.

The wooden block houses came from Target’s after Christmas sale. I bought the woodsy candle holders from a thrift store in late 2019. Someone glued candleholders to log slices and carved out a spot for a tealight as well-very clever.
The jars with colorful rubber stoppers were purchased and filled with pastel M&M’s for my Rainbow Pine Cone Tree Piano Scape post in February 2019.
The Hello sign went with a Summer sign I bought last year. I’ve never used the Summer sign, and am using the Hello sign for the first time.
I found the village houses for $3.99 each at a thrift store. The price was high for second-hand, but they were cute and well made, so I bought them anyway. I’ve owned the blue Mason jars and frozen pine picks for so long I forgot where they came from. All of my displays contain items shopped from my own house.
The snowballs came from a Holiday Time Snowball Fight I bought at Walmart’s after Christmas sale. I’ll be posting about the wreath in the very near future.
Winter-themed books were procured from various thrift stores last winter.
The lined pine cone basket is also something I’ve had long enough to forget its origin.
I painted the Pine Cone Fireplace Bucket in October of this year. I try to include at least one hand-painted item in every decorative post.
