Hello everyone! Welcome to Little Cottage Link Party #20! Happy First Day of Fall! I’m writing this post from the Windy City this morning. The highlight so far was watching a Cubs game at historic (1914) Wrigley Field. The Cubs pitcher, Davish, sure throws a lot of different pitches!
The Little Cottage Link Party is open from Monday, 9am EST, through Wednesday, 9am EST. My goal for this link party is to help myself and others thrive in the home. I’ve spent the last two decades raising five homeschooled children in a beautiful little cottage in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In my opinion, the home is the most important place on earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, empty-nesting, or raising a large family-your home can still be a refreshing oasis of love and beauty to those who enter.
On with the features!
The features today ooze with creativity! The first one had me at Seasonal China Rack! Her Mackenzie Child’s inspired fall decor, and fall tea tablescape were amazing too!
The second feature includes a chicken scratch hand embroidery technique that I think I could actually accomplish. I have the picture of the finished project here, but you have to go and look at the close-up of the embroidery, and the instructions. It does look easy and fun.
The color block scarf below uses an old-fashioned granny stitch to achieve a bold look for a great fall accessory.
My 4th feature is a fabulous furniture makeover. With a little bit of Mica powder and her Cricut, Anita transformed an old chair into something great.
I usually don’t have more than 4 features. However, I could not resist these Driftwood Pumpkins! I’m making some, as soon as I get back home to the SC Lowcountry. A great DIY inspires other to try it themselves!
