Welcome to Little Cottage Link Party #24! Hey guys, it’s almost Halloween! Is everyone ready for the upcoming spooktacular holiday? We’ve been getting ready around our house. If you get a chance, pop into my blog and read the tutorial for my Spooky Loofa Dog Halloween Costume. Our three year-old morkie, Hercules, strains on his leash to get from house to house every year when we trick-or-treat. The smells and sights on Halloween night are so exciting to him.
The Little Cottage Link Party is open from Monday, 9am EST, through Wednesday, 9am EST. My goal for this link party is to help myself and others thrive in the home. I’ve spent the last two decades raising five homeschooled children in a beautiful little cottage in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In my opinion, the home is the most important place on earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, empty-nesting, or raising a large family-your home can still be a refreshing oasis of love and beauty to those who enter.
On with the features!
I’m not exactly sure what the title of my first feature means, but I think it’s something like “How to Make an Autumn Cake.” I know that I love how it looks!
The next feature is an adorable succulent tree from the land down under. I love living in this modern age where bloggers from all over the world can get together and share ideas!
The 3rd feature comes from Karren, one of the nicest bloggers ever. I’ve always wanted to try making hand pies. I think I’m gonna pin this one and give it a try in the near future.
The last feature is a recipe from Robin that reminds me of my East Tennessee roots. Although I live in the sunny South Carolina “Lowcountry“ these days, I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains where we ate fried apples made in the school cafeteria at least once a week.
