Welcome to Little Cottage Link Party #34! I hope everyone is having a great year so far. I’ve been decorating for winter. It seems like we just decorated for Christmas. Thanksgiving was so late this year, we barely had a chance to enjoy the Yuletide Season! Anywho, here’s what I’ve been working on:
After a year of blogging, I think I’ve defined my decorating style. You can read about it in Cottage Glam Winter Tablescape.
I used whites, greens, metallics, and small pops of color to create a Winter Forest Fireplace.
I began Weight Watchers (again). I lost 42 pounds with them in 2006/2007. You can read about the new 2020 WW plan, and how it’s different from before in Thoughts on Starting Weight Watchers in 2020.
The Little Cottage Link Party is open from Monday, 9am EST, through Thursday, 9am EST (I’m leaving the party open a day longer this year). My goal for this link party is to help myself and others thrive in the home. I’ve spent the last two decades raising five homeschooled children in a beautiful little cottage in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In my opinion, the home is the most important place on earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, empty-nesting, or raising a large family-your home can still be a refreshing oasis of love and beauty to those who enter.
Time for the Features!
My first feature is a fun group of winter hoops. The hand painted snowman hoop is pictured below. You’ll have to drop by her blog to see the other two.
This nifty desk calendar is a perfect pick-me-up for the new year.
The next feature would be handy to have around our house. I think they should sell these on ETSY.
I can’t wait until the next gathering, so that I can make this pull-apart pizza. Maybe I’ll make a football shaped one for the Super Bowl.
The next feature is dear to my heart-probably too dear. I’ve always loved banana bread, and this recipe is highly recommended by Alexandra, so I’ll have to try it.
I’ve never tried the cookies in this last feature, but I love the flavor of almonds. I may have to whip some up with the new Kitchen Aid Artesan mixer my husband bought me for Christmas!
