Welcome to Little Cottage Link Party #64! I hope everyone is having a great week. My son’s girlfriend is visiting, so we went to see the USS Yorktown in Charleston. I was so tired after climbing up and down all those stairs. I didn’t know air craft carriers were so big! It had a post office, laundry area, cafeteria, jail, and so much more. I overslept this morning and was late getting this party posted. I did write one post last week about Our Pandemic Trip to Dollywood:
The Little Cottage Link Party is open from Monday, 9am EST, through Thursday, 9am EST (I’m leaving the party open a day longer this year). My goal for this link party is to help myself and others thrive in the home. I’ve spent the last two decades raising five homeschooled children in a beautiful little cottage in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In my opinion, the home is the most important place on earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, empty-nesting, or raising a large family-your home can still be a refreshing oasis of love and beauty to those who enter.
Time for the Features!
My first feature is a book review titled, Susie. She was the wife of Charles Spurgeon, one of the most influential preachers of the nineteenth century. I’ve learned many things about influential men of the past, but very little about their wives.
Since I’ve kept a journal since the 5th grade, I was very impressed with Lisa’s Traveler’s Journal. It would be a great gift for a friend going on a trip.
Agnieszka”s Godfather doll looks exactly like Marlon Brando! If you haven’t watched the movies, you should. References from the book/movie such as “go to the mattresses” and “Revenge is a dish that tastes best when served cold, “are still used in popular culture today.
Well done Dollar Store crafts always amaze me! Deb did a great job improving the plain face of a $1 cross.
