Welcome to Little Cottage Link Party # 96. I hope everyone had a Happy Easter. We did. On Saturday we went to my dad’s house and dyed eggs. On Easter Sunday we went to church and to a Mexican restaurant afterwards. It actually felt like a normal Easter!

I started a new painting series named Morning Coffee. My morning coffee ritual consists of choosing a mug, selecting a coordinating creamer and k-cup, then listening happily to the chug-chug of the brewer as I anticipate the first sip. I usually read a chapter of the Bible, then write 2 or 3 pages in my journal as I sip my coffee and think about what I have to accomplish each day.
On with the Party
The Little Cottage Link Party is open from Monday, 9am EST, through Thursday, 9am EST (I’m leaving the party open a day longer this year). My goal for this link party is to help myself and others thrive in the home. I’ve spent the last two decades raising five homeschooled children in a beautiful little cottage in the South Carolina Lowcountry. In my opinion, the home is the most important place on earth. It doesn’t matter if you’re married, single, empty-nesting, or raising a large family-your home can still be a refreshing oasis of love and beauty to those who enter.
Time for the Features!
My first feature is a gorgeous set of denim coasters from Claire. I like fabric coasters because they soak up the condensation from the glass. Claire’s are easier to make than you would think. Pop into her blog and check out the tutorial to create your own set.

Priyam’s garden-themed birthday party makes me wish I had a child born in the spring. The dirt cupcakes with the gummy worms look fabulous.

Denise has a beautiful home, and she is right. Covid has reminded all of us that home is the most important place. I’m in love with the black and white buffalo checks in her kitchen.

I’ve always known that Ann is gifted at upcycling furniture. I didn’t know that she had such a great sense of humor until I saw her chair back shelf display. Craft show venders hear those 5 words often (usually from the husbands) when couples walk by their booths!
