A New project for a New Mission Statement
Have you ever painted or bought a spring mini wood block signs? At 3.5″ square, they are perfect for a tiered round tray in the kitchen, your desk, or a shelf anywhere in the house. Mini spring signs were a perfect project for me to commemorate my newly minted painting mission statement. I had to ask myself, “What exactly is my purpose for painting?” First of all, I know that I want to encourage people and make them smile. Secondly, one of my larger goals in life is to celebrate every moment of my own life and those around me. So, I combined those to ideas to create my mission statement:
Painting to Celebrate Every Season, Holiday, and Occasion.
What do you think?
Ideas for the Spring Mini Wood Block Signs
Ideas for the new signs were chosen from a few of my old favorites. I tend to create from the same themes over and over again. I think Shakespeare did well when he wrote:
‘To Thine Own Self Be True.’
‘To thine own self be true’ is a line from act 1 scene 3 of Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet. It is spoken by King Claudius’ chief minister, Polonius as part of a speech where he is giving his son, Laertes, his blessing and advice on how to behave whilst at university.
Old Favorites Become New Again
Choosing which block signs to make was simple. The chocolate bunny and abstract chicks are two of my favorite cutesy Easter decor subjects. Strawberries have been my summer theme for as long as I can remember, and the starfish is one (other than the oyster) of my favorite representations of the South Carolina Lowcountry where I live.
Other Items I’ve Made With the Same Theme
Like I mentioned earlier, I tend to paint the same things over and over-now if I could only niche down to a specific product, or two! Do you have trouble niching down? Do you make the same things or use the same themes over and over? I’d love to hear from you.
I hope you enjoyed reading Painting Spring Mini Wood Block Signs!
Happy Spring,
