Have you ever thought about upcycling (yes, that’s a verb) a leather purse? This year, I’ve decided to paint a collection of upcycled purses and other items for Christmas. This “Simply Joy” upcycled painted Christmas purse was designed to reflect the happiness we feel at Christmas when we are surrounded by our loved ones, celebrating our Savior’s birth and having a good time.
Joy is something that money cannot buy and that no one can take away. Circumstances may get you down at times, but knowing that Jesus loves you, values you, and that you have a life awaiting you in eternity is like an ocean that steadies those rocking ships called emotions.
I wanted my project to have an urban, graphic design feel, so I used the Courier font and black and white as the basic colors.

Sometimes it is hard for me to do something simple, because I keep adding things until the design is complicated or overcrowded.

Time to Paint your “Simply Joy” Upcycled Painted Christmas Purse

We’re all done. How does it feel? Your $5 Christmas thrift store purse did not break that holiday budget! It’s time to put some money in the purse and do some Christmas shopping.

I hope you enjoyed my “Simply Joy” Upcycled Painted Christmas Purse!

Thanks, Rebecca. I want to buy a few more leather purses and paint more Christmas patterns on them.
